Call for Visitors:
DG REGIO is looking for 100 participants from organisations involved in Interreg A programmes to participate in 10 peer exchange visits. Each visit is hosted by a case from the b-solutions initiative addressing a similar cross-border obstacle.
DEADLINE EXTENDED! New application deadline: 16 September 2026 | 17:00 CEST
What is the border regions peer exchange?
This is a European Commission initiative (DG REGIO), implemented by Fundación CEER (FCEER), that connects Interreg A programme stakeholders with b-solutions cases addressing similar cross-border obstacles.
The concept
10 b-solutions case hosts will each organise a 2-day visit for Interreg A programme stakeholders. Visitors come from programmes dealing with comparable border obstacles and learn directly from implemented solutions in the field.
The objective
To demonstrate the tangible impact of cross-border cooperation by showcasing success stories with real benefits, and to strengthen the link between b-solutions and Interreg’s A specific objective of better cooperation governance.
Who participates
Each visit involves up to 5 financially supported visitors — plus up to 5 non-supported visitors — from Interreg A programmes and a host organisation (b-solutions case).
The outcome
A final publication — co-authored from all 10 host reports — will analyse synergies between b-solutions and Interreg A and serve as a practical guide for other cross-border cooperation programmes across Europe.
WHO CAN APPLY
The call is open to Interreg A stakeholders — including project partners, associated partners, and programme bodies, who are interested in learning from b-solutions cases and exchanging experiences on overcoming cross-border obstacles. To be eligible, your organisation must be one of the following:
- Public Administrations (National, regional, or local authorities)
- Cooperation Entities (EGTCs, Euroregions, or entities involved in cross-border and macro-regional strategies)
- Academia & Civil Society (Universities, RTOs, Chambers of Commerce, companies, associations, NGOs and other civil society organizations)
- Public Services (Civil protection, healthcare, natural parks, heritage management, or other public service sectors)
- Interreg A Programme Body (Joint secretariats, managing authorities, coordination units & certification authorities)
- Other (Other relevant stakeholders in cross-border cooperation)
