NEB Prizes 2026 Highlights
The NEB Prizes 2026 will award 13 winners for projects and concepts that exemplify sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusiveness. Each winning project will be awarded up to €20,000, while additional 14 runners-up will get €5,000 each.
This year, several exciting new features have been introduced:
- Expanded Horizons: Moldova now joins eligible participants, along with EU Member States, the Western Balkans, and Ukraine.
- Spotlight on Water: A new €20,000 prize for projects tackling water resilience challenges.
- Global Reach: Dedicated international track for Brazil and Japan: €20,000 for one winner per country, plus €5,000 for two runners-up.
- Accelerator Programme for Champions and Rising Stars: Finalists receive coaching, strategic guidance, and communication support to ensure their projects thrive beyond financial recognition.

NEB Boost for Small Municipalities
The NEB Boost will reward 20 projects led by small municipalities across the EU, supporting initiatives that reflect NEB values, show strong community engagement, and demonstrate project maturity. Each winning project will receive up to €30,000 and a communication package to highlight their achievements.
