The ACCESS-EDU project will officially launch its activities with its Kick-off Meeting on Monday, 14 September 2026, at the premises of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The meeting will bring together the five project partners from Greece and Bulgaria: the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas / Hellenic Institute of Transport (CERTH/HIT), the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (ELINYAE), the Lifelong Learning Centre of Central Macedonia, the Vocational High School of Transport – Razlog, and the Social Research & Policies Institute (SRPI).
During the meeting, the partners will present their roles and responsibilities, review the project implementation framework, discuss the planned activities and expected results, and agree on the main coordination and cooperation procedures for the upcoming period.
ACCESS-EDU aims to address workforce shortages in skilled truck drivers, heavy machinery operators and agricultural vehicle operators in Greece and Bulgaria through the development of state-of-the-art simulation-based training centres and an integrated eLearning platform. By combining modern training technologies with cross-border cooperation, the project seeks to strengthen vocational skills, improve access to specialised training and better respond to labour market needs in the cross-border area.
The Kick-off Meeting will mark the beginning of the project’s joint implementation and will establish the basis for close and effective cooperation among the participating organisations within the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Interreg VI-A “Greece-Bulgaria 2021–2027”.
