The Greek Presidency of the European Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region – EUSAIR (General Secretariat of Regional Development Corporate Agreement (ESPA) – Hellenic Ministry of Economy & Finance) and the Managing Authority Interreg 2021-2027 are co-organizing the event entitled: “Unlocking Opportunities for Post-2027 Europe, EUSAIR, Interreg, and Cohesion Policy in Joint Action”.

The event will concentrate on the survey results carried out by different Authorities and Organizations at national, macroregional and European level, to draw recommendations and proposals on how to shape the future of Europe post 2027. The Conference will address the critical question of how to enhance synergies among European Union funding mechanisms, territorial frameworks, and policies to drive sustainable regional development post-2027, keeping & promoting Cohesion Policy in the center of a prosperous and cohesive Europe, while exploring innovative collaboration among EU Macro-Regional Strategies (MRS) and Interreg programmes.

Moreover, the “Post 2027” consultation on the future of Interreg will be presented. The relevant Harvesting Report of the consultation includes the methodology and results of the survey with stakeholders and citizens of the participating countries in the Interreg Greece-Albania, Greece-Bulgaria, Greece-Cyprus, Greece-Italy and Greece-North Macedonia programmes, which are managed by the MA “Interreg 2021-2027”.

The event will be held in a hybrid format (in-person and online) in Thessaloniki – Greece (Museum of Byzantine Culture – “Stephanos Dragoumis” Amphitheatre, Leof. Stratou 2), on Friday, 7 February 2025.
