ACCESS-EDU – AdvanCing Cross-bordEr Skilled workforcE Development and occUpational health & safety through digital tools and up/reskilling initiatives

The project will develop an educational and training programme, as well as an open digital e-Leaning Platform that will serve as a comprehensive knowledge repository and recommendations engine, offering tailored insights to stakeholders based on their specific requirements, preferences, and priorities. This will be done by developing digital upskilling and reskilling courses to close the digital skills gap, improve productivity, enhance service quality, and build an inclusive, adaptable workforce that fits the digital landscape. Finally, the platform is expected to establish a robust community of stakeholders actively involved in the project (encouraging social and business networking) along the different professional sectors, focusing on health and safety in the workplace, fostering collaborative development of project outcomes and promoting the outreach, multi-layered replication and take-up of the project results.

The project will develop a centralised online hub, dedicated to gathering information on jobs affected by the dual challenges of green and digital transitions, highlighting new skills and emerging roles. It will also provide information on relevant educational, training, and vocational centres, along with personalised programs, tailored to the users’ geographical area and taking into account their characteristics, needs, main employment sectiors, and interests. It is also expected to collaborate with industry experts and relevant authorities to establish and promote best practices in safety for the transportation, construction, mining, and farming sectors. Finally, it will implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the impact on workforce development, accessibility, and occupational health and safety.
