PRIORITY 3 - A more Inclusive Greece-Bulgaria Cross Border TerritoryINTERSYC III aims to enhance education, lifelong learning, and employment opportunities, particularly for vulnerable populations and residents of remote areas in Greece and Bulgaria. The project introduces innovative education and business delivery models to address these challenges. The initiative focuses on cross-border regions between Greece and Bulgaria, specifically covering the Regional Units of Rhodope, Kavala, Thessaloniki, and Evros in Greece, and Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Smolyan, and Kardzhali in Bulgaria. In doing so, INTERSYC III seeks to reach a wide range of communities in need across both countries.
The primary objectives of the project are: (a) To improve equal access to education, including through distance learning solutions and (b) To enhance employment opportunities and strengthen the skills of young people in both Greece and Bulgaria. These objectives are achieved through investments in equipment and infrastructure, along with targeted support for youth development across three key skill areas: Digital Skills, Social Skills and Business Skills.
INTERSYC III contributes to strengthening the territorial dimension and CB relations, highlighting the need for CB cooperation among stakeholders across the fields of education, technology, social inclusion, lifelong learning, employability, and entrepreneurship and leads to the social and economic development of the areas and to more inclusive societies in Europe.
