NEURO-BRIDGE project aims to unlock the potential of neurodivergent individuals across the Greece–Bulgaria region, introducing a fresh, forward-looking approach to inclusion by focusing on education, training, entrepreneurship, and employment. Recognising that neurodivergent people often face invisible barriers in accessing quality services, the project bridges the gap by creating tools, training, and supportive environments that embrace cognitive diversity.
Through collaboration between universities, local agencies, business incubators, and chambers of commerce, the project builds a strong ecosystem that connects neurodivergent individuals with opportunities for skills development, innovation, and social participation. NEURO-BRIDGE will map needs and barriers, support community-led pilots, establish innovation hubs in both countries, and develop practical toolkits for employers and educators.
A key innovation is the use of socially assistive robotics to empower neurodivergent individuals with entrepreneurial skills, fostering a positive, inclusive, and adaptive social environment that enhances confidence, engagement, and real-world readiness. Awareness actions, policy proposals, and digital platforms will help embed change at all levels. The project will deliver 60 participations and completions in joint training schemes, with long-term benefits for inclusive education and employment systems.
