Stage B of the 1st Call for Common Projects Proposals of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Interreg VI-A “Greece-Bulgaria 2021-2027” closed yesterday, Monday, June 30 2025.
60 projects submitted their complete Application From in MIS:
- 19 out of the 60 Application Forms were submitted under PA1 – A more resilient & greener Greece-Bulgaria cross border Territory
- 11 under RSO2.6. Promoting the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy
- 8 under RSO2.7. Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all
- 41 out of the 60 Application Forms were submitted under PA3 – A more Inclusive Greece-Bulgaria cross border Territory
- 15 under RSO4.2. Improving equal access to inclusive and quality services in education, training and lifelong learning through developing accessible infrastructure, including by fostering resilience for distance and on-line education and training
- 26 under RSO4.6. Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation
The total requested budget equals to 99.503.795,14€, almost three (3) times higher than the Call’s available budget (32.050.467,10€):

- RSO2.6 – 21.791.476,88€
- RSO2.7 – 14.248.499,82 €
- 63.463.818,44€ under PA3
- RSO4.2 – 20.619.659,01 €
