The second Technical Meeting of the strategic project “Floodguard 2” is scheduled to take place in Thessaloniki from April 28 to 29, 2026. During the meeting, executives from the Hellenic Fire Corps Headquarters and the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection of Bulgaria will discuss the progress of the project implementation.
At the same time, the second meeting of the Joint Working Group has been scheduled, with the participation of executives from the 2nd and 4th Special Units and the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection of Bulgaria. The meeting will take place in Thessaloniki, from April 27 to 30, 2026, where the training program for the joint training of Greek and Bulgarian firefighters in flood response will be discussed and developed.
The project is funded by the European Union, and specifically by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), encouraging joint development and cooperation between countries within Priority 1 – “A more resilient and greener Greece-Bulgaria Cross-Border Territory” and Specific Objective RSO2.4 – “Adaptation to Climate Change” of the Programme.
