The second Technical Meeting of the strategic Project with the acronym “Floodguard 2”, took place in Thessaloniki from April 28 to 29, 2026. The meeting was attended by the Project Team, consisting of the executives of the Hellenic Fire Corps Headquarters and the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection of Bulgaria. During the meeting, the Project Team discussed the progress of the project’s implementation and the next steps.
At the same time, from 27 to 30 April 2026, the second meeting of the Joint Working Group (JWG) was held in Thessaloniki. The JWG consists of officials from the 2nd and 4th Special Units, as well as the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection of Bulgaria. The JWG meeting aimed to discuss and develop the training program for the joint training of Greek and Bulgarian firefighters in flood response.
